Before you make a medical appointment, check your insurance for co pays and deductible.  At the Human Element, we can make arrangements for you to pay sliding scale until your deductible is met.  We can waive co pays if you meet criteria.   Sometimes mental or behavioral health is counted separately.  Sometimes you don't have a deductible for mental health. Bring a copy of your insurance card and ID card.  If you have a medicaid copay of 1.00, we waive that fee.  But some places do not.  We will also negotiate if you have any fees with Medicaid cab or handi ride.

Why people don't go to counseling?

Because the stigma that you can't solve your own problems, people may think you are crazy, I don't like talking about my family to other, no dirty laundry, want to be percieved as competent.

They wait until problems become big; divorce, failing school, court ordered, legal.  An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

You will recieve 45 minutes to an hour of individual therapy.  You will get a reminder call the day before.  We provide a beverage and will help with transportation.

Our office is small and homey.  We have TV to watch while you wait for your appointment, a ride.

We are growing and hoping to expand, but don't want to lose the small intimate feel.
